Hey Pal. Thanks for the "The study I referred to doesn't specifically say that" statement and your added clarification. Personally, I have mixed feelings about abortion and will explain in a message henceforth. Best Regards and Semper Fi, Bill

"A recent study from the University of Calgary, published in The Journal of Physical Chemistry Letters in 2025, is noteworthy. The study investigated ultra-weak photon emission (UPE) in living organisms. The researchers employed advanced imaging techniques to capture UPE, demonstrating that human beings emit light — a faint glow invisible to the naked eye — but that this glow disappears upon death."

Ed; What is the point of this paragragh? Yes, I understand that UPE disappears at death. In the following paragraphs, you are discussing life before birth. Did they detect UPE before birth.?

The point was to show the detection of a life force when we're alive, meaning the life force starts at birth and leaves at death.

so --- quoting ---"life force starts at birth". I AGREE ! So, if abortion occurs before birth, abortion did not cause the death of a live human being.

I need to reread/review your article to understand your stance regarding abortion. Once I understand your position, I will reveal my position ( between only you and me ) .

Bill, personally, I believe the life force enters a being at conception. The study I referred to doesn't specifically say that, but that is what I believe. I think abortion should be permitted only in the case the life of the mother is at high risk or rape.

I appreciate you putting this into words. Real evil doesn’t always come with horns. Sometimes it’s dressed up in paperwork and fluorescent lighting. Abortion? It’s a national disgrace. Back in my time, we didn’t kill babies we just denied they existed. A girl got in trouble, her folks made a few calls, maybe sent her off to a cousin’s place. Sometimes the baby “didn’t make it,” sometimes it got “placed,” and sometimes folks just poured another drink and moved on. It wasn’t murder—it was life. Messy, private, and handled without bumper stickers.

Now these kids think every decision deserves a parade. When I was overseas, I’ll admit, there were a few instances of young girls, scared, poor, and me not exactly husband material. Things happened. But we didn’t celebrate it. We shook hands, left cash on the dresser, and got back to the mission. That’s not evil. That’s wartime discretion. Big difference.

And don’t get me started on government funding. You think I’m okay with my tax dollars going to Planned Parenthood? Hell no. I want my tax dollars going to real priorities like defense contracts and surveillance balloons. Things that protect the unborn after they’re born, assuming they make it that far. It’s called values.

Point is, we had a code. Sure, we bent it. Broke it clean in half some nights. But we didn’t try to rewrite it. We felt bad, drank too much, maybe bought a boat. These people? They break it and ask for applause. That’s what’s different. That’s what rots the soul.

Winston, I appreciate your reply and thoughtful comments. We live in perilous times and few pay enough attention to care.

Buddies, tough guys, no strangers to dirt and blood saved my hide more than once. But when things got messy with local girls, they handled it their way. Called it “jungle flushin’.” No clinics, no questions. Just paid someone off and moved on like it never happened.

Now some of those same fellas thump Bibles and call themselves pro-life. Funny how murder don’t count when it’s your mess to clean up or when the govt is the one telling you to do it.

Evil ain’t always loud. Sometimes it’s quiet, practical, and wrapped in a flag.

I totally agree. Abortions are killing. Thanks, Kug, fir point out the funding of PP.

We , as a society, have lost our way. We have got to turn back to the Bible.
